Cast pewter octagonal jug with a screw-top lid. The monogram F. H. is engraved under the zoomorphic spout.

The form of this jug is based on the hexagonal portable stopper bottles which were popular in Germany in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Screw-cap beer jugs with decorative spouts were especially common in Saxony.
